Gerringong to Bomaderry Princes Highway upgrade

The NSW Government is planning a program of work to upgrade the Princes Highway between Gerringong and Bomaderry.

The section to be upgraded extends from the Mount Pleasant Lookout north of Gerringong to the Cambewarra and Moss Vales roads intersection at Bomaderry in the south.

The Princes Highway is the main link from Sydney and the Illawarra region to the Shoalhaven, south and far south coast of New South Wales and north eastern Victoria.

  • Survey work now underway between Gerringong and Bomaderry
    Monday 23 March 2009
    Ground surveys will commence Monday, March 23 2009 beginning with the section of highway from Mt. Pleasant to approximately Willow Vale Road. The surveys will be completed by Easter and only minimal traffic disruption is expected.

    The subcontractors, Hard and Forrester, will be surveying the existing highway formation to provide a detailed model of topography in the vicinity of the preferred option. This information will assist the development of the concept design and in determining flooding and drainage requirements of the upgraded highway.

    After surveying within the existing highway corridor ground surveys will be conducted in the vicinity of the preferred option alignment. As access to some private properties will be required, individual property owners will be contacted via telephone regarding the proposed survey activities and property access.
