Community Update The RTA is continuing to plan a program of work for upgrading the Princes Highway between Gerringong and Bomaderry. Project Office Change of Hours Beginning the week commencing Monday 2 March 2009, the Berry Project Office will be opened on Fridays instead of Thursdays. The opening hours will remain the same - 9am to 4pm.

- Preferred option update
A preferred option to upgrade the Princes Highway from Gerringong to Bomaderry has been determined following extensive assessment and investigation of the feasible options, in conjunction with community involvement and the value management process. More
- Options for access to Gerringong and Berry
The short-listed options for future access between the upgraded highway and both Gerringong and Berry will be on display until Thursday 13 November 2008. More
- Route options submissions report
A submissions report which consolidates the issues raised during the shortlisted options display period has now been finalised. As part of the process for planning the upgrade, seven options were put on display for community viewing and public comment between 26 November 2007 and 29 February 2008. - Peer review of the cost estimates for options to the south of Berry complete
A more detailed analysis of costs for southern bypass routes, completed in June/July 2008, has confirmed a route to the south of Berry is not feasible when compared to the short-listed options. More
- Route options value management report
The report from the Gerringong to Bomaderry route options value management workshop, held 14-16 May 2008, is available for download. This was a workshop to compare the value that each option provides. Download Report (580KB)

- Gerringong traffic surveys
Traffic surveys are currently scheduled at various locations in and around Gerringong from 3 June 2008 to 4 June 2008 to better understand local traffic patterns. Video cameras will be placed in eight locations around the town to capture turning movements during the morning and afternoon peaks. The data collected will form part of the field investigations to be considered in the determination of the preferred highway access into Gerringong.

- Modified Orange route selected as Berry bypass
Following the Value Management Workshop, the displayed Orange route has been changed to the modified Orange route to bypass the Pulman Street heritage precinct and playing fields. More

- Short-list of preferred route options
The RTA has announced the short-list of options for the upgrade of the Princes Highway between Gerringong and Bomaderry for community comment. The seven options were developed following an assessment of how well each of a large number of options best met the project objectives. The options will be on public display until 29 February 2008.
